6 of us came over on the 12 o'clock ferry. After unpacking and rigging up we headed to the South point. The sand is soft and deep there so get to where you want to fish w/o siopping or trying to turn asround. Saw some stuck. We caught 10 big blues. The largest was 30 inches.2 keeper sheephead and two citation pompano. One was 4lb 1 oz and the other 2 lb 6 oz.Day two, 3 of us headed to the south point and 3 others headed North. Not much happening at either point. At the South Point, 2 big blues 2 small flounder and another citation pompano. Nothing at the North end but in front of the cabins 19 croakers 2 whiting and 1 small flounder. Day 3, We headed North. Not much happening until a blue blitz started pushing fish up on the beach. A great experience for us. 4 in our party had never seen one and all of us started throwing metal. It got wild and exciting. 41 blues landed and thrown back. Then it was over. We tried tossing whiting, croaker and trout still breathing back in the surf . Birds finished off the rest. Day 4We went North again 29 whiting 6 big blues, 4 small flounder and 1 nice 18 inch flounder we wish we could have kept.1 nice pompano and one 27" keeper Drum. Day 5 .Headed South and nothing going on. We ended up in front of the cabins and caught 9 Whiting and 3 small flounder. A great fish fry the last night. Blackened Drum and pompano and fried whiting. We will be back October 12th. Good luck and good fishing . Air down and be careful in that soft/deep sand.
